Rental FAQ

Please keep in mind our cancellation policy: Deposits are refundable minus a $10 cancellation fee if a reservation is canceled at least 8 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.  If you cancel within the week of your arrival you forfeit the deposit amount.  No shows will be charged full rental charges for time reserved.

Reservations canceled will forfeit the deposit amount, which is 25% of the first month.

Yes, we are pleased to offer the following discounts:

• 10% discount to military.
• 10% discount to Good Sam members.

Please note these discounts only apply to our nightly rates.  Weekly and monthly rates are already discounted above 10%.

Yes, street legal ATV’s and side-by-sides that are currently licensed and registered are legal to leave right from our resort to access the many miles of dirt roads and trails that are offered in the surrounding areas of beautiful Kanab.  Please contact the Bureau of Land management in Kanab at (435) 644-4600 for information on all riding trails.

2 Guests, kids 9 and under stay free.  Extra guests aged 10 and over are $3 per person per day.

Only well-kept RVs are allowed in the resort.  Management has the right to refuse any undesirable RVs.  Extra Vehicles are allowed at no cost if they can fit on your site without entering the street area.

Check in starts at 2 PM.  Check out is by 12 noon.  Please contact the registration office by 10 AM if you’d like to extend your stay.  (A day rate may be charged for late departures)  Early check ins are welcomed as long as the site is available.  Please call the front office the morning of your arrival to see if an early check in is possible.

Rental prices include your site, complete hookups, Wi-Fi, pool, spa, lounge, athletic court, children’s playground, pickleball and full bath facilities.

Our resort is pet friendly. Many furry friends have loved playing in our large dog park 🙂

PET Guidelines:

• Two (2) house pets per site are allowed.
• Pets must be on a leash when outside the tenants unit (this includes cats) and must not be left outside the unit while the owner is absent or left outside at night.   Please do not leave pets in your RV unattended.
• Reel leashes are permitted if the pet is kept under control and not allowed on other tenant sites.
• Excrement must be cleaned up immediately and disposed of.  Pickup stations are provided throughout the resort.
• Pets are not allowed in any Resort buildings, pool & spa areas or sport areas.  Assistive dogs for disabled persons are allowed.
• Please restrain dogs from barking and disturbing others.

Unfortunately, we do not have tent sites at Grand Platea RV Resort.  Tents are not allowed on RV sites.  Please inquire about our cabins for guests without RVs.

We have 7 deluxe cabins that are 12′ x 24′.  They have a queen bed in the back room, one bunk bed and one pullout couch. These cabins also have a toilet and small kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, sink, and cooktop. They are heated, have A/C and include a 32″ flat screen TV as well. No smoking or pets allowed. Linens are provided.

The pool is heated and operational April through October.  Weather permitting.  The average temperature of the pool is 84 degrees.

The spa accommodates  10 bathers.  The average temperature of the spa is 101 degrees.

Athletic equipment including pickleball and basketball may be signed out from the front office.

The laundry rooms are for guest convenience. Please clean out dryer lint traps after use and help keep room clean. 8 AM to 10 PM.  A change machine is available in the laundry room.

Please come to the front desk to have all your propane needs taken care of.

All trash should be placed in a sturdy plastic bag and left at the road in front of your site daily before 10:00 a.m. Please do not leave garbage out overnight. Use of Pine Sol in the trash bag will discourage animals and birds.

Yes, if there is adequate space behind your RV. It must be removed when your setup is not present on-site.  Sites must be kept neat and clean at all times.

Wood burning campfires and fire pits are not permitted in sites.  If you bring your own patio safe propane fire pit that does not exceed 28″, you are allowed to use that on your site, please be smart and cautious.  Outside barbecues are permitted, please do not place on picnic tables, they will melt the tables.  Guests will be charged to replace melted picnic tables.  Place cold coals in a plastic bag and set out with trash for pickup.
